The Journey That Created Stick X

Life doesn't always go the way we planned.

I was a home builder whose world changed when the housing market crashed in 2008. The business I poured my life into disappeared, and I found myself starting over as a truck driver with little more than faith and determination.

The road taught me something important: everyone is on a journey. Every person you meet is carrying a story, a struggle, or a burden you may never see.

Years later, after meeting my wife Ronda, now traveling the country, and surviving a heart attack in January 2026, I began to understand what truly matters.

Not money.

Not possessions.

Not success.

What matters are the people we love, the lives we touch, and the faith that carries us through life's storms.

That's how Stick X was born.

Stick X isn't just a character.

Stick X is all of us.

Imperfect.

Still standing.

Still moving forward.

Still believing.

One lesson I've learned is that people can disagree, relationships can become distance , and life can knock you down. But that's not the end of the journey. Sometimes it's just the beginning of the journey Christ is preparing for you.

In 2026, while traveling through Southern California, a man told me something I'll never forget:

"As long as you're struggling, you're still in the game." 

Those words stayed with me.

Because struggles are real. Hard times are real. But as long as we're still fighting, still growing, and still trusting God, we're still moving forward.

That's what June's Journey and Stick X are all about.

Encouraging people.

Sharing Christ.

And reminding anyone who is struggling that their story isn't over.

The greatest journey isn't across America.

It's the journey toward Christ.

And that journey is worth every step.
